In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and a positive patient experience. Duties Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and prosthodontics with precision and care Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans Execute complex dental treatments such as root canal therapy, dental extractions, and oral surgery while maintaining strict aseptic techniques Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients Manage medical documentation and update electronic health records using open dental Adhere to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure safety standards are met Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures Interpret medical imaging and apply anatomy knowledge for precise diagnosis and treatment planning Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness Qualifications Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as an Associate General Dentist Proven experience in general dentistry within a clinical or dental office setting; prior dental clinic experience is preferred Proficiency with dental software systems Open Dental Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and medical documentation standards Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles and providing care for pediatric patients is advantageous Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment plans clearly Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management to ensure compliance at all times Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality care Must be Medi-cal provider we will train you for surgery, including implants.
