Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare standards. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with specialists such as oral surgeons, orthodontists, and prosthodontists when necessary to provide comprehensive care. Use dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, billing, and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral health maintenance practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health. Adhere to all healthcare diagnosis standards and stay updated on current dental practices and innovations. Ensure compliance with all state healthcare regulations and professional standards throughout clinical operations. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with a focus on general dentistry. Demonstrated proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Extensive knowledge of dental procedures including root canal therapy, dental implants, oral surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and prosthodontics. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and healthcare diagnosis processes. Experience performing dental extractions, root canals, implant placements, and other complex procedures using aseptic techniques. Familiarity with infection control protocols and medical imaging techniques essential for accurate diagnosis. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards along with state-specific healthcare regulations governing medical documentation and patient privacy.
