In this vital role, you will focus on diagnosing and treating complex root canal cases, providing expert endodontic care that enhances patient outcomes and preserves natural teeth. Responsibilities Perform root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures with precision and attention to detail, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to determine appropriate treatment plans. Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to develop comprehensive treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs. Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare standards. Utilize dental terminology effectively when explaining procedures, diagnoses, and post-treatment care instructions to patients. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment. Stay current with advancements in endodontics, dental technology, and healthcare diagnosis practices through continuous education and training. Skills Proficiency in endodontic procedures such as root canal therapy, apicoectomy, retreatments, and dental implants related to endodontic needs. Experience with dental office management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar platforms for scheduling, documentation, and billing. Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, medical imaging interpretation, and infection control standards. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, explaining complex procedures in understandable terms. Familiarity with general dentistry procedures such as dental extractions, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry is a plus. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure compliance in all aspects of patient care.
