Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Oral Surgeon, where your expertise will transform patient outcomes through advanced surgical care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to perform complex oral and maxillofacial procedures, including dental implants, extractions, and reconstructive surgeries. As a vital member of our dental practice, you will deliver exceptional patient care while adhering to the highest standards of safety, infection control, and medical documentation. Your skills in oral surgery combined with comprehensive knowledge of dental and medical terminology will help us provide outstanding service in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Duties Perform a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgeries, including dental extractions, implant placements, and corrective jaw procedures Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on clinical findings and medical history Utilize advanced dental imaging techniques and anatomical knowledge to guide surgical procedures with precision Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety during all procedures Collaborate with general dentists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans Document all procedures meticulously in medical records while complying with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations Communicate clearly with patients about procedures, post-operative care, and recovery expectations to ensure optimal outcomes Requirements Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution with specialized training in oral surgery Valid state license to practice dentistry with certification in oral surgery or maxillofacial surgery as applicable Proven experience performing dental extractions, dental implants, root canal therapy, and other oral surgical procedures Proficiency in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for medical documentation and scheduling Strong knowledge of anesthesia administration and pain management techniques for patient comfort during procedures Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus Excellent client communication skills to explain treatment options clearly and empathetically Commitment to infection control standards and ongoing education on healthcare diagnosis and medical imaging techniques Join us in delivering exceptional oral health care through skillful surgical expertise!
