Job Description

Sarasota Periodontal Associates , part of Shore Dental Partners , is seeking a skilled and compassionate Periodontist to join our respected specialty practice in Sarasota, Florida 4 days per week. Our practice is dedicated to providing exceptional periodontal and implant care through advanced technology, evidence-based treatment, and a patient-centered approach. We are committed to helping our patients achieve optimal oral health while fostering a collaborative environment where clinical excellence and outstanding patient experiences are our top priorities. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established referral-based practice with a strong reputation, experienced support staff, and a commitment to continued growth and innovation. Responsibilities Diagnose and treat periodontal diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis. Perform a full range of periodontal procedures, including scaling and root planing, osseous surgery, soft tissue grafting, bone grafting, crown lengthening, and regenerative procedures. Place and restore dental implants while developing comprehensive implant treatment plans. Perform thorough clinical examinations and interpret digital radiographs and CBCT imaging. Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on periodontal health and long-term maintenance. Collaborate with referring general dentists and dental specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation using electronic dental software. Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations. Stay current with advancements in periodontology and implant dentistry through continuing education. Qualifications DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school. Completion of an accredited Periodontics residency program. Active Florida dental license in good standing. Board Eligible or Board Certified in Periodontology preferred. Experience in periodontal surgery, dental implant placement, and regenerative procedures. Strong clinical and surgical skills with a commitment to evidence-based care. Experience with digital radiography, CBCT imaging, and electronic dental records. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both patients and referring providers.
