Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop accurate diagnoses. Utilize dental terminology and medical documentation skills to record detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to deliver efficient and comfortable patient experiences. Communicate clearly with patients about treatment options, procedures, and post-treatment care to foster trust and understanding. Stay current with advancements in dental technology (Dentrix Ascend), and medical imaging tools to enhance treatment quality. Qualifications Valid state dental license with certification to practice dentistry in accordance with local regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implantology preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes. Familiarity with electronic health records systems Dentrix (Ascend) is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics fabrication, and other advanced procedures confidently. Excellent client communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care. Commitment to infection control standards and maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
