Now we need a Treatment Coordinator who can also run point on billing — someone who owns the whole patient journey from "here's your treatment plan" to "here's your paid claim." About the Role You're the connector and the closer, front to back. Half concierge, half insurance detective, half hype person for great dentistry (yes, that's three halves — that's how much this role covers). You'll spend most of your day presenting treatment plans and helping patients say "yes" with confidence — and behind the scenes, you'll make sure the claims for that "yes" actually get paid. What You'll Be Doing Treatment Coordination (the core of the role):  Presenting treatment plans to patients in plain English (no jargon overload) and helping them say "yes" with confidence  Verifying insurance benefits and breaking down out-of-pocket costs before patients ever ask "wait, how much?"  Coordinating with our doctors and clinical team to sequence treatment so nothing falls through the cracks  Following up with patients who need a gentle nudge (or two) to schedule that next visit  Keeping case acceptance and scheduling numbers healthy — you'll actually see your impact on the practice  Managing financial arrangements and payment plans with warmth, not awkwardness  Keeping digital charts and treatment notes accurate and up to date Billing (the other half of the job):  Submitting clean, accurate dental insurance claims (electronic and paper) for the treatment plans you coordinated  Posting insurance and patient payments and keeping the ledger squeaky clean  Chasing down and appealing denied or underpaid claims like it's a personal mission  Managing accounts receivable and following up on outstanding balances with professionalism (and a little Niko Niko charm)  Staying current on CDT codes, payer rules, and Hawaii-specific dental insurance quirks  Generating reports so the doctors always know exactly where case acceptance and collections stand What You Bring to the Table  1-2+ years of experience in a dental office — ideally with both treatment coordination/case presentation and insurance billing exposure  A genuine knack for explaining dental treatment and costs in a way people actually understand  Solid dental insurance know-how — verification, benefits breakdowns, claims submission, and appeals (PPO experience is a big plus)  Working knowledge of CDT codes and dental claims processes; certification (CDC, CPC, or equivalent) is a strong plus  Experience with dental practice management software (we'll train you on ours — bonus points if you've used Open Dental or similar)  Excellent people skills — you can calm a nervous patient and close a treatment plan in the same conversation  Sharp organizational instincts and follow-through; you don't let a treatment plan or a claim slip through the cracks  A positive, team-first attitude that fits an office where "niko niko" is basically the company motto What's In It For You  Competitive hourly pay that reflects the full scope of this role — you're doing two jobs' worth of impact  A stable, established practice — over 40 years serving Honolulu families, not a revolving door  Real variety: kids, grandparents, cosmetic cases, implants — you'll never be bored, on the clinical or business side  Supportive doctors and a tight-knit team that actually likes each other  Paid time off and holidays  Room to grow as the practice grows Ready to Own the Whole Patient Journey?
