Collaborate with patients to develop personalized treatment plans while explaining procedures clearly using dental terminology they understand. Maintain comprehensive medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Ensure infection control protocols are rigorously followed to uphold safety standards for patients and staff. Stay current with the latest developments in dentistry by participating in continuing education opportunities related to pediatrics, orthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties. Use practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, billing, and medical records management. Communicate effectively with patients to promote oral health education and foster trust throughout their treatment journey. Skills Proven experience in general dentistry within a busy dental clinic environment; familiarity with dental office workflows is essential. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and infection control practices. Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), orthodontics basics, and oral surgery procedures. Proficiency with practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix; ability to adapt to new digital tools quickly. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately. Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations alongside state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and patient privacy. Ability to work efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and clinical productivity. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles for treating children effectively when necessary.
