In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop accurate treatment plans. Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions with precision and care. Conduct specialized procedures including root canal therapy, dental implants, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery as needed. Utilize dental terminology effectively to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients, ensuring they understand their care plans. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety. Document all procedures accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws. Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and healthcare diagnosis methods by participating in ongoing education and training. Requirements Valid state dental license with current certification to practice dentistry. Proven experience in general dentistry within a dental clinic or healthcare setting. Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and dental diagnosis processes. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), oral surgery, prosthodontics (dental fabrication), orthodontics, and implant procedures is highly desirable. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately. Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques aligned with OSHA guidelines. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment utilizing four-handed dentistry practices for optimal patient care.
