Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Dietary Department manager, the Kitchen Helper, who performs a variety of duties designed to maintain and enhance the overall cleanliness of the Department. Cleaning includes floor care (sweeping and mopping), dishwashing, manual pot washing, cleaning of kitchen equipment, removal and disposal of trash and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to work around food and cleaning products. Able to follow directions and read chemical labels.
Preferred:
High school graduate or equivalent Prior work experience in a hospitality environment a plus

Days to work: 2 days per/week. Part-Time (15.00hrs.)
Essential Functions:
Clean floors, tables, counters, and other assigned areas. Deliver and retrieve bulk food carts from the Continuing Care Center may also do the same for other distribution points (Safe House, Kids Place). Maintain appropriate logs as required (dishtemp-potsink); keep the work area clean and orderly. Manually wash pots and pans using the three-step method. Operate and Clean the Dish Machine. Take out the trash and inappropriate containers. Operate equipment according to directions. Use Personal Protective equipment and follow safety regulations.
