Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals that meet their dietary needs. You will work closely with the kitchen staff and nursing home personnel to provide excellent food service in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Serve meals to residents in a timely manner, adhering to food safety standards throughout the process. Buss tables and clean dining areas after meals, maintaining a hygienic environment for all residents. Collaborate with nursing staff to understand individual dietary requirements and preferences. Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and food service areas. Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and kitchen operations. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or as a Dietary Aide is preferred but not required. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary practices related to nursing home settings is a plus. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Compassionate nature with a desire to provide quality care for residents. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
