Job Description

This position is assisting in the kitchen with dishes, clean up, food service in the dining room and dining room clean up. Position Details Monday and Friday; 7-10am shifts Every other Friday; 4-7pm shifts Paid Training Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Culinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our culinary operations within an assisted living or healthcare environment. This position involves food preparation, meal service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The Culinary Assistant will work closely with chefs and dietary staff to ensure high-quality food service for residents. Responsibilities Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Support the dietary department in serving. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Adhere to food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of all food items. Participate in the cleaning and bussing of dining areas after meals. Collaborate with nursing to accommodate special dietary needs of residents. Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and organizing supplies. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents during meal times. Skills Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in assisted living or healthcare settings is preferred. Strong skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and serving methods. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and dietary department operations is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed. Strong customer service skills to enhance resident satisfaction during meal service. Experience with cleaning procedures and maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment. Pay:
$13.50 - $14.00 per hour
