Job Description

  • Wage does not include attendance incentive
  • Prepare foods assigned by the Cook, using daily menus; and in accordance with residents' dietary restrictions/therapeutic diets as prescribed by physician.
  • Assist in preparing foods for special events.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment.
  • Store food properly for infection control.
  • Participate in serving food.
  • Bus tables during and after meals.
  • Reset tables for the next meal.
  • Prepare beverages before meals.
  • Clean equipment, appliances, floors, drains, storage area, refrigerator, freezer and sinks according to schedule.
  • Clean/sweep dining area after each meal.
  • Stack, soak, and run dish machine.
  • Soak and clean pots and pans.
  • Put away clean dishes, pots and pans.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned from the supervisor.

  • Adhere to and carry out all policies and procedures.
  • Report on the job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
  • Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents, families and visitors.
  • Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel.
Standards:
  • Be able to perform duties with an upbeat, pleasant personality.
  • Residents always come first, and their needs will be met unless there is a conflict with the needs of others or the organization as a whole.
  • Employees will not work under the influence of mood-altering or illegal drugs or alcohol.
  • Neat appearance, adherence to the dress code and good personal hygiene are expected.

Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
