Duties and Responsibilities:

May include all or part of the following but not limited to: Perform defined work using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor. Meet scheduled meal and snack times. Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of meals. Follow Federal, State and local long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures. Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled. Set dining rooms for resident service. Serve meals. Stock pantry and cupboards with dishware and food items as per par levels. Attend in-service educational programs. Perform other duties as assigned by Dietary Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience in dietary service is preferred. Ability to read and understand recipe directions, diet orders, tallies and work assignments. This position will show a willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
