Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Kitchen Aide and become an essential part of providing nutritious, delicious meals in a caring environment. In this role, you will support food service operations by assisting with meal preparation, food handling, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness. Your energetic and positive attitude will help ensure a smooth dining experience for residents or clients, contributing to their health and happiness. Duties Assist with food preparation and cooking under supervision, following safety and sanitation guidelines Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and temperature control Support meal service by bussing tables, serving residents or clients, and maintaining a clean dining area Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces to meet sanitation standards Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety Help with dishwashing, sanitation, and general cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas Support dietary department staff with meal assembly and dietary accommodations as needed Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments is preferred but not required Knowledge of food production, preparation, and safety practices is highly desirable Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy meal times Experience with food handling, serving, cleaning, and sanitation procedures Ability to work well within a team while maintaining attention to detail in food safety and cleanliness standards Familiarity with culinary processes or dietary aide experience is a plus Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with residents or clients during meal service Join us in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where nutritious meals are served with care!
