Job Summary The Dietary Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the dietary department within an assisted living facility. This position is responsible for managing the nutritional needs of residents, ensuring compliance with dietary regulations, and leading a team to deliver high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dietetics and health coaching, along with experience in care plans and budgeting. Duties Supervise and manage the dietary department, ensuring all staff are trained and compliant with health regulations. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on residents' dietary needs and preferences. Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess the nutritional status of residents and recommend appropriate interventions. Oversee meal planning, preparation, and service to ensure meals meet nutritional standards. Manage budgeting for the dietary department, including food procurement and inventory control. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address residents' dietary concerns and improve overall health outcomes. Requirements Dietary Manager certificate. Strong knowledge of dietary regulations, nutrition principles, and food safety standards. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and staff members. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team focused on enhancing resident well-being through nutrition.
