Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians and other assistants/technicians in providing medical care to animals
• Perform routine procedures such as administering injections and medications with veterinarian approval.
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge of the veterinary field
• Prepare animals for surgery and monitor vitals during surgical procedures

• REQUIRED.

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples-REQUIRED
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals-REQUIRED
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment
• Maintain accurate medical records-REQUIRED
• Monitor pets under general anesthesia

• REQUIRED

• Monitor pets recovering from surgery-

REQUIRED Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of in clinic, veterinary medicine experience

• Previous experience working as a veterinary assistant is required
• Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior
• Familiarity with veterinary equipment and tools
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
