A Dietitian or Nutritionist provides clients with advice on healthy eating, and helps to plan nutritional menus. Works with individuals who have specific dietary needs, such as hospital patients, or oversees food programs in schools, hospitals, and other large organizations. May work in a community setting or non-profit, governmental, or public health organization, offering nutritional advice to specific groups of people.
Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing residents' nutritional needs, developing individualized nutrition care plans, and collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal health and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments for residents upon admission and as needed. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans. Evaluate residents for nutritional risk, including weight changes, wounds, swallowing concerns, and chronic disease management. Provide nutrition counseling and education to residents, families, and staff. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, speech therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated resident care. Monitor residents receiving enteral (tube) feeding and make appropriate recommendations. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations related to nutrition services. Participate in care plan meetings, quality assurance initiatives, and survey readiness activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field. Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required. Current state licensure or certification, if required. Experience with enteral nutrition, wound care nutrition, and therapeutic diets preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
