Our team is what makes St. Camillus an amazing place to work. We are currently in need of a Full Time Registered Dietitian for our Food Services Department! This position is eligible for $2 ,500 sign on bonus! This position is on-site. No remote work available.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for the evaluation, planning and clinical assessment of nutritional status of the residents and patients of St. Camillus. This role coordinates all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling of residents and patients in a variety of settings. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, residents, and families of diverse backgrounds who may have physical, sensory and mental impairments. Complies with all state and federal safety, health and sanitary regulations as well as St. Camillus policies and procedures. Collaborate with providers, residents and patients to develop nutritional plans of care. Complete initial nutritional evaluations of residents and patients and assesses and monitors nutritional risk. Reviews and revises nutritional care plans and schedules as needed. Coordinates changes in nutritional care planning with staff, MDs, nurses, food service, and make regular follow-ups. Makes recommendations to providers regarding orders, monitoring and tolerance for enteral and parenteral nutrition. Completes follow up assessments monthly or when indicated. Educates residents, patients and families regarding prescribed diet and nutrition plan of care. Provides written materials to families, residents/patients, and/or caregivers, when appropriate. Assess compliance and understanding of diet restrictions. Assists in menu planning and recipe analysis. Communicate residents and patients' comments regarding meal acceptance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics accredited academic institution 2 years of clinical experience in a health care setting Long-term care or outpatient care experience is strongly preferred
