Full Job Description Clinical Dietitian:

Barclay Friends is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part Time Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in geriatrics, and long-term care settings. This role involves developing and implementing dietary plans tailored to meet the specific needs of residents, ensuring optimal health outcomes through effective nutrition management. Duties Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients. Develop individualized care plans that address the dietary needs of patients in various settings, including hospitals and long-term care facilities. Supervise dietary department staff to ensure compliance with nutrition standards and protocols. Provide guidance on tube feeding and other specialized nutritional interventions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate dietary recommendations into overall patient care. Educate patients and families on nutrition-related topics, including weight loss strategies and healthy eating practices. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required. Experience in geriatrics, long-term care, or similar environments is highly desirable. Strong understanding of dietary department operations and food service management. Proficiency in developing care plans that include diagnostic evaluation components. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
