Company:
Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties. CFC operates three 64-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD's), Howell Branch Court, Lake View Court and Washington Square. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.
Salary Rate:
$87,000 to $95,000

Growth and Educational Assistance Purpose:
Supervises, directs and evaluates nursing staff and activities specific to the residents' needs in the ICF and assigned Group Home settings in all areas relating to health and nursing care and assures skill acquisition and mastery by the staff.
Essential Duties:
Oversees all nursing clinical operations which includes but is not limited to pharmacy, nursing, infection control, oral hygiene programs, medical, medication or other order changes, new admission and post treatment illness or injury evaluations, review of abnormal findings from testing or reports, appointments etc. and ensures follow through Conducts assessments and provides care for residents as necessary and provides staff with education and instruction on resident specific or global needs. Coordinates medical services by working closely with staff and Health Care Providers and staff to ensure optimal health for the residents. Conducts regular facility rounds in the ICF as well as announced and unannounced visits to the assigned Group Homes to ensure that the facility and homes are in compliance with regulations and the health related needs of the residents are being met. Actively participates in visits from APD, and the development of any plans of correction and ensures follow through with compliance as necessary. Maintain 24-hour on-call availability for the facility and Group Homes and participates in the on call rotation with other RN staff.
Required Qualification:
Registered Nursing license for the State of Florida. Two years supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience preferred working with Intellectual/Developmental Disability populations. Central Florida Communities is a drug free workplace and an equal opportunity employer.
