Varies Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee nursing services in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, recent SNF/LTC experience, and the ability to ensure high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with nursing standards and regulations. SNF/LTC experience is required. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct nursing services to ensure safe, efficient, and professional resident care Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care Lead, supervise, and support nursing staff while maintaining appropriate staffing levels Coordinate resident care with physicians, medical directors, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations Monitor quality improvement initiatives, infection control, and resident safety Conduct chart audits and oversee accurate medical record documentation Support staff education, orientation, competency evaluations, and professional development Manage staff schedules, on-call coverage, and emergency nursing situations Assist with nursing department budgeting and prepare reports as needed Address staff performance, conflicts, and resident or family concerns professionally Qualifications Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice SNF/LTC experience required Five years of management or nursing leadership experience preferred Acute care or rehabilitation experience preferred Knowledge of nursing practices, long-term care regulations, and quality standards Ability to lead nursing staff and make independent decisions Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Qualified candidates with strong SNF/LTC leadership experience are encouraged to apply.

Pay:

$90.00 - $95.00 per hour
