at Home, Hope & Healing in Smithfield, Maine, United States Job Description Home, Hope and Healing (HHH) has an immediate opening for a Director of Nursing (DON) . The DON is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of the agency's Home Health Program . Our home health program specializes in providing one-on-one, skilled, block time nursing care for clients with medically fragile health conditions. This is a full-time, salaried position working out of our central office in Smithfield during the weekdays, with flexibility needed to work outside of regular business hours if necessary. Some travel by car to client homes, out-of-town conferences, and meetings. Ensures safe compliance and quality care standards for clients of all ages that receive our home health services. Maintains performance improvement activities and participates in QAPI (quality assurance performance improvement) activities. Assures competency of clinical personnel. Participates in budget planning and maintains efficient and effective client care operations while meeting state, federal and local regulations, laws, and standards. The DON reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the senior management team. Direct Reports of the DON are Regional Nurse Managers, Clinical Transitions Nurse Manager, and Home Health Client Scheduling Representatives.
