This role requires a compassionate leader who can foster a collaborative, resident-focused environment while ensuring quality standards and regulatory compliance are met. Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight to the nursing and caregiving team Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote the dignity, safety, and independence of each resident Coordinate admissions, assessments, care transitions, and discharge planning in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies Establish and monitor clinical quality metrics and improvement plans specific to assisted living standards Partner with the Executive Director and department heads to align nursing care with overall community operations Manage staffing schedules, recruitment, training, and ongoing development of nursing personnel Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, documentation, and incident reporting Communicate regularly with residents and families, addressing concerns and fostering positive relationships Oversee medication management practices and ensure safe administration protocols Monitor departmental budget, supplies, and expenditures Qualifications & Skills Proven experience as a Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager, preferably in an assisted living, senior care, or long-term care setting Deep understanding of aging-related care needs, memory care, and person-centered care principles Strong knowledge of state-specific assisted living regulations and best practices Ability to lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced residential care environment Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation systems Skilled in managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of resident care Familiarity with staffing coordination, budgeting, and performance evaluation Education & Certifications Active nursing license in Missouri CPR certification
