They provide the perfect blend of care, compassion, and health services. What will I do as the Director of Nursing? The primary purpose of this role is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure that the highest degree of quality care in maintained. Consistently model and demonstrate excellence in customer service, with a constant focus on person-centered care/service delivery. Develops and maintains nursing policies, procedures, objectives and practice standards. Prepares schedules within budgetary guidelines and ensures; assists with budget process. Maintains and prepares records, documentation and reports as required by policies and regulations. Acts as a catalyst for quality improvement. Performs daily rounding on residents and team members. Remains compliant with all federal, state, local and corporate regulations. Creates, maintains and supports a safe work environment and work practices. Responsible for the Comprehensive Resident Assessment and Interdisciplinary Plan of Care process. Assists with maintenance of nursing policies, procedures, objectives and standards of practice. Participates in talent acquisition process, training, supervision and corrective action for nursing team. Evaluates job performance and reviews peer evaluations for assigned team members. Participate in preparation of nursing schedules to assure adequate staffing and quality care. Conducts regular team meetings for all shifts. Maintains accurate resident census reports. Assists with licensure and certification tracking. Maintains budgetary control of supply inventory, cost containment and nursing team. Develops positive relationships and is accessible to all residents, families, visitors and team members. Promotes and supports culture of patient centered care and service.

Qualifications:

Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
