Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive nursing strategies aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Lead, manage, and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and staff engagement. Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, and personnel management to optimize operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with all state-specific education laws and healthcare regulations governing nursing practices. Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and allocate resources effectively to support organizational priorities. Collaborate with executive leadership to establish policies, procedures, and standards that promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Foster a culture of organizational excellence through effective team management, instructional leadership in healthcare practices, and strategic planning. Experience Proven management experience in a healthcare or educational setting with a focus on personnel management in education or clinical environments. Extensive knowledge of state-specific education laws related to healthcare training and certification standards. Demonstrated success in strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational budget management within complex organizations. Strong background in academic leadership or school administrative director experience is preferred for understanding organizational dynamics. Experience leading teams through change management initiatives while maintaining high standards of instruction and service delivery. Previous roles involving university or higher education experience are advantageous for understanding advanced educational frameworks. Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of team management, staff supervision, and fostering collaborative work environments. Qualifications Current, active, and unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license . Previous nursing leadership or management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment. Knowledge of federal and Texas regulations governing nursing facilities. Strong understanding of geriatric nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, and resident-centered care. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Strong documentation and computer skills. Current CPR/BLS certification as required.
