Duties Lead and manage the rehabilitation department, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other allied health professionals. Develop, implement, and evaluate rehabilitation programs tailored to patients with various disabilities, including those with visual impairments or mobility challenges. Ensure all services comply with current rehabilitation regulations, standards, and best practices while maintaining accreditation requirements. Oversee patient care processes to guarantee high standards of safety, efficacy, and compassion in treatment delivery. Collaborate with medical teams to coordinate acute care and long-term care rehabilitation plans for diverse patient populations. Conduct staff training on manual handling techniques, heavy lifting safety, CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS), and physiotherapy protocols. Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Skills Extensive knowledge of rehabilitation medicine, physiology, anatomy, and related clinical sciences. Proven experience managing rehabilitation services within skilled nursing facilities or rehabilitation centers. Strong leadership skills in clinical team management and staff development. Familiarity with rehabilitation regulations and compliance standards across healthcare settings. Hands-on experience in patient rehabilitation techniques for individuals with disabilities or visual impairments. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients about their recovery process.
