This position provides excellent benefits and opportunities for career advancement. The Rehab Director's primary responsibility is the leadership of the therapy team, including management of the day-to-day operations of the therapy department, supervision of therapy staff, and coordination of RUG management. The secondary responsibility is patient care. The Rehab Director demonstrates strong leadership, team development, customer service, and department operations skills. The Rehab Director works closely with the Regional Manager to ensure that organizational standards are maintained and available resources are well utilized. Primary Responsibilities Ensures that rehabilitation services are provided in compliance with company and facility policies and procedures, as well as State, Federal, and professional organization regulatory standards and guidelines. Coordinates resident screening (PT/OT/SLP) programs. Serves as an advocate for meeting the rehabilitation needs of residents. Coordinates attendance at care plan and departmental meetings. Acts as a liaison between the therapy department, administrator, and nursing staff. Ensures accurate and timely month-end billing. Coordinates therapist schedules and arranges PRN staffing as needed.
