ABOUT MTS AMBULANCE MTS

Ambulance is a licensed Florida ambulance provider specializing in non-emergency medical transportation. Our Bradford County division serves nursing homes, assisted living facilities, freestanding emergency rooms, and hospital discharge transports throughout the county and surrounding areas. Our ALS unit is fully permitted and equipped and operates under the direction of a licensed Florida medical director. We are a new operation, and you would be joining at the ground floor.

POSITION SUMMARY

The EMT is the second crew member on a two-person ALS ambulance, working alongside an assigned paramedic during interfacility and specialty care transports. This is a strong fit for an EMT who wants consistent exposure to advanced care. This is not a 911 response position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate the ALS unit and assist the paramedic with patient care within the EMT scope of practice Perform patient assessments, obtain and monitor vital signs, and prepare clinical equipment including cardiac monitors, IV supplies, and airway equipment Safely load, secure, and transfer patients between facilities Assist with patient care documentation Complete daily vehicle checks and confirm all ALS equipment and supplies are stocked and inspection-ready Communicate professionally with facility staff, dispatch, patients, and family members Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with

HIPAA REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Current Florida EMT certification, active and in good standing Current

CPR / BLS

provider card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Current 16-hour EVOC certificate — required for this position Valid Florida driver license Minimum 18 years of age No DUI conviction within the past three years Clean driving record Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background screening Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 125 pounds with a partner Comfort with extended-distance transports; routes of 30 to 35 miles each direction are routine

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior ALS or interfacility transport experience Current standard first aid card (American Red Cross or National Safety Council) Familiarity with facilities in Bradford, Alachua, Clay, or Union Counties Current enrollment in, or plans to enroll in, a paramedic program

SCHEDULE

We offer 8-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour shifts, along with on-call and per diem availability. Schedules are set based on operational needs and crew availability.
