Job Description

Millinocket Regional Hospital is hiring for a per diem Emergency Department Technician.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following credentialing requirements and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Current certification in the State of Maine Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Current, active licensure in the State of Maine Emergency Medical Technician (EMT
  • Current Maine EMT License Medical Assistant (MA
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program; national certification preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA)
Main Function:
Assist in coordinating department functions, works closely with department RN's and PA's. Maintain department records to include daily log, stocking supplies, filing, faxing, printing, photocopying, and distribution; computer order and charge entry, answering phone/ambulance radio, and taking messages. Will be expected to work to level of license or certification to include but not limited to: IV starts, EKG, dressings, medication reconciliation, crutch/gait training, vital signs, patient care assistance and transport.
General Information:
