Travel experience required Job Description We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Endoscopy/GI Technician to join the Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal team at Strong Memorial Hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience supporting GI and endoscopic procedures in a hospital or clinical setting and must have previous travel healthcare experience . The Endo/GI Technician will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to prepare patients, assist during procedures, maintain endoscopy equipment, and ensure a safe and sterile environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare procedure rooms, patients, and endoscopic equipment for scheduled procedures. Assist physicians during procedures such as colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and other GI procedures . Handle and prepare endoscopic instruments and supplies according to established protocols. Perform proper cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and reprocessing of endoscopes and related equipment. Maintain strict infection prevention and aseptic techniques throughout procedures. Assist with patient positioning and provide support to ensure patient comfort and safety. Monitor and report patient conditions and vital signs as directed by the clinical team. Prepare and maintain procedure supplies and equipment to ensure efficient workflow. Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures. Properly document procedure-related information and equipment reprocessing activities. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe procedure environment. Requirements Previous experience as an Endoscopy Technician, GI Technician, or Surgical/Procedure Technician in a hospital or clinical setting. Previous travel healthcare experience is required. Strong knowledge of GI/endoscopic procedures and related medical terminology. Experience with endoscope cleaning, disinfection, and reprocessing . Knowledge of infection prevention, sterilization, and aseptic techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. BLS certification required. Ability to work a 5×8 schedule with night call . Why Join?
