Fitness Specialist
EXEMPT STATUS
Non-Exempt, hourly, full-time, 30 hours or more per week
REPORTS TO
Fitness Coordinator & Dir of Comm. Life
GENERAL SUMMARY
: Under the direct supervision of the Fitness Coordinator and/or the Administrator the incumbent is responsible for assisting with the fitness programs and supervised exercise sessions within the community.
Primary Job Duties :
Implement and coordinate a fitness and wellness program. Evaluate and assess the needs and physical capabilities of each resident. Formulate and implement a program of exercise suited to each individual. Lead a variety of challenging and safe group exercise classes. Lead exercise programs and monitor individuals as they use exercise equipment. Conduct assessment, initial and ongoing, of residents and guide their participation in exercise programs and initiatives. Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the fitness equipment.
