Job:
Responsible for developing and implementing the education, exercise plan and prescription for adult-sized adolescent and adult participating in the Elliot Health System Cardiac Rehabilitation Program following the standards as set forth by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehab (AACVPR).
What You'll Do:
Provides education on cardiac and vascular disease, risk factor management and healthy lifestyle modifications through group education classes and individual counselling sessions. Conducts interview/intake session with new patients for Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation, articulating benefits of the cardiac rehabilitation. Determines patient relative to risk factor management based upon the interview, pertinent laboratory, and medical history information. Conducts an exercise program which is appropriate for a cardiac and vascular population which will include, but not be limited to: warm-up, stretching, range of motion, cardiovascular conditioning, cool down activities, and resistance training; implements modification of exercise when patient's physical or medical condition requires. Completes timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and evaluations of the Cardiovascular Health patient. And more!
Who You Are:
Bachelor of Science in exercise science, exercise physiology, physical therapy or physical education, Required BLS, Required Or ability obtain immediately upon hire through Elliot Prior experience in clinical cardiac rehabilitation or equivalent,
