Key Duties Patient preparation : Explain procedures, obtain medical history, and prepare patients for testing Equipment setup : Attach ECG leads, calibrate and operate treadmill, ECG, and other stress testing devices

Monitoring :

Continuously monitor heart rate, blood pressure, ECG readings, and other vital signs during exercise or pharmacological stress

Observation :

Watch for signs of distress, chest pain, arrhythmias, or other emergencies; respond per emergency protocols Data recording : Document patient responses, test results, and equipment settings in the medical record Equipment maintenance : Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy

Collaboration :

Work with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure safe, effective testing Required Skills Electrocardiography (ECG) and cardiac physiology knowledge Patient monitoring and emergency response Communication and interpersonal skills Time management and attention to detail Ability to operate and maintain medical equipment
