POSITION SUMMARY
NeuroActive is seeking a Pediatric Rehab Technician to provide one-on-one support to children and individuals with a wide range of neurological, physical, developmental, and complex care needs. Our patient population may include children with brain injuries, rare genetic disorders, non-fatal drowning injuries, cerebral palsy, autism, ADHD, developmental delays, physical disabilities, and other neurological conditions. This is a hands-on clinical support role. The Rehab Technician works directly with patients during therapy sessions while assisting clinicians with therapeutic activities, exercises, positioning, mobility, and individualized treatment protocols. Training is provided on our clinical procedures and specialized therapeutic equipment, including low-level laser therapy devices. Formal clinical experience is not required. What matters most is verifiable experience working with children, strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to connect with children who may have very different physical, cognitive, behavioral, or communication needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work one-on-one with children and individuals with disabilities during therapy sessions. Assist clinicians with therapeutic activities, exercises, positioning, mobility, and functional movement as directed. Follow individualized treatment protocols and clinician instructions. Operate specialized therapeutic equipment after appropriate training, including low-level laser therapy devices. Prepare treatment areas and equipment and maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment. Observe patient participation and communicate relevant progress, responses, concerns, or changes to the clinical team. Provide encouragement, patience, structure, and compassionate support during challenging activities. Adapt your approach based on the physical, cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and communication needs of each child. Work collaboratively with clinicians and other members of the NeuroActive team.

REQUIREMENTS
Verifiable experience working with children. Ability to attain
CPR/FIRST AID
certification (training provided). Ability to lift at least 25 pounds; at times this position can be physically demanding. Ability to pass a background check. Strong ability to build trusting relationships with children and parents. Quick thinker who can problem-solve and respond effectively in the moment. Creative and highly adaptable; comfortable changing approaches based on the needs of each child. Flexible and able to adjust to changing schedules, patient needs, and clinic priorities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on clinical environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Able to work respectfully and effectively with children and families from a wide range of cultures, religions, backgrounds, and life experiences. Patient, compassionate, dependable, and willing to learn.
Available within office hours:
7:30AM-6:00 PM
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE MAY INCLUDE
Experience in any of the following can translate well to this position: Physical Therapy Aide, RBT or behavior technician work; direct support or direct care; pediatric therapy; special education; childcare or daycare; group-home care; caregiving; rehabilitation; behavioral health; disability support; pediatric medical environments; or other roles involving hands-on work with children. You do not need to come from a chiropractic background.
BENEFITS
Paid Time Off:
40-80 hours annually based on years of service.
Paid sick leave:
24 hours per calendar year. Paid holidays for eligible employees when holidays fall on regularly scheduled clinic workdays. Benefits eligibility applies to hourly employees averaging 20+ hours per week. Benefits generally begin accruing after 90 days of employment unless otherwise specified.
