Job Description Job Title :
ABA Behavior Therapist Position Summary This position will provide quality, discipline-specific treatment for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The behavior therapist will monitor the development of children in home, the community and/or other natural settings, providing 1:1 specialized behavior intervention service to client, as well as parent education, according to goals described in the treatment plan. Ensure effective communication between all support team members. Complete necessary program and participant-related documents and reports. Attend meetings as requested and required. Essential Functions Demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality. Must relate well to client(s) and their families. Familiar with the field of early intervention, knowledgeable of resources that serve children, and with the approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Competent in implementing and directing behavior analytic methodologies. Qualifications Possesses a High School Diploma or higher Preferred (but not required) Two (2) years of experience in designing and/or implementing behavior modification intervention services or direct experience working with individuals with developmental and/or behavioral issues. Valid CPR certification (preferred but not necessary) Ability to pass background/fingerprint clearance (FEDERAL
AND STATE
), health screenings and provide/obtain immunizations. Reliable transportation Proof of valid California driver's license, safe driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration. Bilingual a plus
