Clinical Trainer (approx. 40%) As a Clinical Trainer, the primary job purpose revolves around the effective onboarding and training of newly hired Behavior Therapists. This role is instrumental in guaranteeing that these therapists grasp the fundamentals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and can proficiently apply these principles while working directly with children. The Clinical Trainer is dedicated to fostering competence among new hires by offering encouragement and unwavering support throughout their learning journey. Beyond skill development, the role extends to creating an inclusive and supportive environment, ensuring that new team members feel welcome and embraced, thus contributing to a positive and collaborative workplace culture. Through comprehensive training and ongoing encouragement, the Clinical Trainer plays a pivotal role in shaping competent and compassionate professionals dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children through ABA therapy. Client Caseload (60+%) To provide clinical oversight of cases, supervise, train, and mentor behavior consultants (mid-tiers). To work collaboratively with parents and develop a therapeutic alliance with them.

Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Trainer:

Deliver training programs for newly hired Behavior Therapists, covering essential aspects of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and its practical application in the Dream Big centers. Conduct in-person instructional training with videos, hands-on activities, modeling, and role-playing. Assess the learning needs of new hires and evaluate their progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure a thorough understanding of ABA principles. Observe field sessions to ensure that Behavior Therapists can proficiently demonstrate ABA techniques while working directly with children, emphasizing effective communication, observation, and data collection skills. Provide individualized support and mentoring to new hires, addressing their specific learning needs and offering guidance to enhance their competencies in ABA methodologies. Foster a positive and motivating learning environment by encouraging and motivating new hires, reinforcing their confidence in applying ABA principles and techniques. Incorporate cultural competence training to ensure that Behavior Therapists are equipped to work effectively with a diverse range of children and families, promoting an inclusive and culturally sensitive approach. Stay updated on the latest developments in ABA and instructional methodologies to continuously enhance training programs and ensure that therapists receive the most relevant and effective information. Utilize feedback surveys from new hires to foster continuous improvement and professional development. Conduct initial and ongoing training for BT2 Therapists, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) teaching principles and their practical application in conducting field training for new BTs. Work collaboratively with other trainers to share best practices, insights, and collectively contribute to the development of a cohesive and effective training program. Review existing training programs and actively suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention, or to meet the evolving needs of staff, the organization, or the industry. Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the training program and fostering a dynamic learning environment within the organization. BC Caseload Oversee Master's level clinicians in the implementation of treatment plans and case management. Conduct functional behavior assessments. Develop treatment plans specific to each individual's needs that emphasize the principles of naturalistic ABA. Lead, manage, and hold accountable behavior consultants and therapists. Mentor and help develop behavior consultants and therapists to implement ABA effectively. Oversee center-based services and ensure that clinical goals focus on increasing independence, social interaction, and inclusion. Provide in-person support at the center, driving inclusion, interaction, and independence, and cultivating a culture of excellence. Collaborate with parents and families to integrate the use of ABA strategies in their everyday lives. Develop a therapeutic alliance with parents, family, and the individual receiving services. Analyze data and monitor client progress. Review progress reports written by behavior consultants to ensure quality. Meet with behavior consultants to review client progress and therapist performance. Help develop and present trainings for new hires and current staff. Qualifications Master's degree in psychology or related field from an accredited institution, or at least 5 years of experience in ABA and currently enrolled in graduate school. Enrolled in a graduate program recognized by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, or is certified as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. At least three years of experience in providing Applied Behavior Analysis services to children with autism. Complete TB test and Livescan clearance. Experience working in operations, business, and quality assurance-related roles. Strong understanding of processes and procedures specific to the ABA industry.
