Child & Adolescent Day Treatment Position Summary Navigating Day Treatment Center / Family Advantage LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Licensed or Associate-Licensed Therapist to join our Child & Adolescent Day Treatment Program in Kannapolis, North Carolina. The Licensed Therapist will be an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and provide clinical services to children and adolescents experiencing mental health, emotional, and behavioral challenges that interfere with their ability to function successfully at home, in school, and in the community. This position offers a flexible schedule , with hours based on program enrollment, client needs, Day Treatment operating hours, and required clinical coverage. Hours may increase as program enrollment grows. Minimum Qualifications Candidate must possess a master's degree in an appropriate behavioral health discipline and hold an appropriate North Carolina professional license or associate license.

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate Licensed Psychologist Other appropriately licensed behavioral health professionals who meet applicable North Carolina requirements Experience working with children and adolescents with mental health, emotional, behavioral, or trauma-related needs is strongly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities The Licensed Therapist will: Actively participate in the delivery of Child & Adolescent Day Treatment services. Provide individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions within the therapist's scope of practice. Complete and/or participate in clinical assessments and ongoing evaluations of treatment needs. Develop, review, and update Person-Centered Plans and treatment goals as appropriate. Provide evidence-based and clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions. Monitor each client's clinical progress and recommend modifications to treatment when necessary. Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, risk assessment, and safety planning as appropriate. Participate in Child and Family Team meetings, treatment-team meetings, discharge planning, and transition planning. Collaborate with parents and guardians, schools, DSS, care managers, psychiatrists, medical providers, and other community professionals. Provide clinical consultation and support to Qualified Professionals (QPs) and other Day Treatment staff. Assist staff with implementing therapeutic and behavioral interventions identified in each client's treatment plan. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and discharge documentation. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Client Rights, agency policies, Medicaid requirements, and applicable North Carolina regulations. Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, required training, quality-assurance activities, and program development. Schedule & Staffing This position will initially operate as a Flex Time / Part-Time position with a minimum 0.5 FTE commitment , based on program enrollment and applicable NC Medicaid Day Treatment staffing requirements. The therapist must maintain sufficient availability to provide required clinical coverage and actively participate in Day Treatment service delivery. The schedule will be coordinated with program leadership based on: Program enrollment Day Treatment operating hours Client clinical needs Treatment-team meetings Individual, family, and group therapy needs Required clinical and staffing coverage Hours and employment status may increase as enrollment and program needs grow. Preferred Knowledge & Skills The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria Experience working with children and adolescents Knowledge of trauma-informed care Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy Crisis-intervention and de-escalation skills Knowledge of Person-Centered Planning Strong clinical documentation skills Familiarity with Medicaid behavioral health services Ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational skills Professional boundaries and sound clinical judgment Reliability and ability to work independently as well as part of a team Employment Requirements Selected candidates must successfully complete applicable employment, credentialing, and training requirements, which may include: Professional license verification Education and credential verification Criminal background check Healthcare Personnel Registry check Reference checks TB screening CPR and First Aid certification Crisis intervention/de-escalation training HIPAA and confidentiality training Client Rights training Abuse, Neglect & Exploitation training Incident Reporting training Person-Centered Thinking System of Care training Documentation and service-note training Training specific to the program's clinical treatment model Additional training required by the agency, NC Medicaid, or applicable licensing requirements About Navigating Day Treatment Center Navigating Day Treatment Center / Family Advantage LLC provides structured behavioral health treatment to children and adolescents experiencing significant emotional and behavioral challenges.
