Gateway Healthcare in Charlestown, RI is actively hiring Independently Licensed Clinical Therapists for our Adult General Outpatient team. Clinical Therapists provide comprehensive clinical services as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This includes the evaluation and treatment of patients presenting with a wide range of psychiatric and physical/environmental stressors using a full range of psychiatric therapeutic interventions, including evaluations, and individual, family, and group psychotherapy.

Responsibilities:

Provide intensive clinical intervention services to children with acute symptoms that interfere with their daily functioning Coordinate care with Pediatricians, school & other providers through meetings, telephone conversations and correspondence Complete assessment, treatment plans, and discharge summaries that are client & family centered Provide crisis intervention to children and adolescents at imminent risk of psychiatric hospitalization in an attempt to stabilize client within the home or community in order to deter hospitalization Identify family needs that can be supported within our scope of practice Provide on-call phone coverage 2-3 weeks/year Function as liaison and client advocate with community agencies Grow professionally through trainings in evidence-based practices targeted to specific populations

Qualifications:

Masters' degree in any human services field required, such as social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology from an accredited graduate school. Current independent license from State of Rhode Island required (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
