Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Mental Health Educator develops, designs, and produces a full range of curricula, training content, learning modules, multimedia educational materials, and clinical patient resources that support the Transforming Mental Health (TMH) Initiative's educational and awareness vision. Drawing on expertise in both mental and behavioral health knowledge and content, and instructional design methodologies, this individual translates complex clinical and evidence-based knowledge into engaging, accessible and impactful learning experiences. Curriculum Development and Instructional Design- Design, develop and continuously improve comprehensive, evidence-based, outcome driven, mental health and related wellness curricula and training programs for diverse audiences
- Work closely alongside Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives, validate clinical and content accuracy, and co-develop a wide variety of subjects and training content
- Serve as a trainer and provide technical assistance in multiple forums and multimedia formats with evidence-based best practices
- Review, interpret, analyze and illustrate data for presentation and decision-making. Utilize instructional design approaches, learner feedback, program evaluation data, and emerging research to continuously refine and improve all educational and training content
- Responsible for preparing, adapting and editing materials for publication and social media
- Accountable for project coordination to ensure activities, objectives and tasks meet deadlines in accordance with grant and other requirements
- Develop a wide variety of evaluation assessments, including pre- and post-tests, knowledge checks, competency evaluations, and learner satisfaction surveys to systematically analyze performance data to identify learning gaps, measure outcomes and refine content for maximum effectiveness
- Develop content for educational technology, such as digital, social media, and communications
