What You'll Do:

Patrol and monitor the facility to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Prevent and de-escalate conflicts using restorative practices and positive behavior strategies. Conduct safety orientations and assist with youth intake processes. Develop and support emergency preparedness plans and safety drills. Train staff on safety procedures, crisis prevention, de-escalation, CPR, AED, and First Aid. Maintain detailed daily activity and incident reports. Collaborate with staff to identify and address safety risks while promoting youth engagement.

Required Skills:

High School Diploma or GED required. 2-3 years of experience working with youth. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations. Proven ability to build positive relationships with youth. Nice to

Have Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field (preferred). Current American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor certification. Current de-escalation trainer certification or similar crisis management credentials. Experience in emergency response planning and staff training.

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required. 2-3 years of relevant youth engagement experience. Progress towards or completion of related certifications is a plus.

Other Requirements:

Successful background checks and reference verification. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Willingness to obtain instructor certifications post-hire; employer-paid training provided. If not already certified, First Aid/CPR certification must be obtained within 60 days of start date.
