Position Salary Range Summary The CPR Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED) use, and basic first aid to students, healthcare professionals, and community members. This role involves teaching both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills in accordance with guidelines the American Heart Association (AHA). The instructor fosters a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes confidence and competence in life-saving techniques.
Essential Role Responsibilities Deliver CPR, AED, and First Aid training in accordance with certifying body standards (e.g., AHA).
Prepare and organize instructional materials, equipment, and classroom/lab settings.
Provide clear demonstrations and supervise hands-on practice to ensure skill proficiency.
Evaluate participant performance and issue certifications upon successful completion.
Maintain accurate records of class rosters, evaluations, and certifications.
Ensure compliance with all training guidelines, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Stay current with updates to CPR guidelines and instructional best practices.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for diverse student populations.
Participate in professional development and maintain instructor certification status.
Minimum Education Required Experience Required Current certification as a CPR Instructor through a recognized organization
Strong knowledge of CPR, AED, and First Aid procedures and protocols.
Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of various learners.
Commitment to promoting health, safety, and emergency preparedness.
