Duties Assist with daily resident and patient activities, including personal care and mobility support Monitor vital signs and observe changes in health status, reporting findings accurately in medical records Administer medications and treatments following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's care by implementing memory care strategies and ensuring their safety Operate electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document medical information precisely and timely Perform manual handling tasks safely during patient transfers, repositioning, or heavy lifting requirements Follow state healthcare regulations and facility policies related to patient safety, medication administration, and documentation Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care best practices Certified in CPR and First Aid; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), HIPAA compliance, and tube feeding are highly valued Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks with proper technique Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver-patient interactions and team collaboration Knowledge of state Board of Nursing regulations and senior living facility standards to ensure compliant care delivery This position is ideal for compassionate professionals eager to make a positive impact through skilled caregiving.
