Duties Assist nursing staff with medical procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and catheter care. Support residents with daily activities such as mobility assistance, hygiene, and feeding, including tube feeding when applicable. Document patient information accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Monitor and record patient health status by taking vital signs and noting changes in condition related to physiology and anatomy knowledge. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of medical records and patient information. Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or other specialized needs by providing compassionate assistance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care aligned with medical terminology and caregiving best practices. Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital settings, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical procedures such as medication administration, tube feeding, catheter care, and vital signs measurement. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; experience in medical documentation is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care protocols related to dementia and memory care. Ability to work effectively during 1st or 2nd shifts in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills who values resident dignity and safety.
