Overview We are actively seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Med Tech professionals to join our team for both day and night shifts. This vital role involves providing exceptional personal care, medical assistance, and emotional support to residents in a senior living or healthcare setting. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital environments, with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, and memory care needs. Duties Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any abnormalities promptly to healthcare professionals. Support residents with specialized care needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and Alzheimer's or dementia-related memory care. Document all patient interactions and medical information utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Cerner or similar platforms to ensure accurate record-keeping. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring environment that promotes mental well-being. Follow all safety protocols including manual handling procedures and heavy lifting techniques to ensure resident and staff safety at all times. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans aligned with state healthcare regulations and best practices in senior care. Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support procedures such as CPR and first aid certification. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations along with maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling safely while adhering to safety standards. Valid certification in First Aid and CPR; additional certifications related to hospice care or Alzheimer's/dementia care are advantageous.
