Full-Time Job Summary We are a busy, well-established ophthalmology practice seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our clinical team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, is eager to learn new skills, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. While previous eye care experience is preferred, it is not required; we are committed to training the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a genuine passion for patient care. In this role, you will work closely with physicians and other clinical staff to gather and document essential ophthalmic patient information. Responsibilities include performing a variety of diagnostic tests and ophthalmic data collection procedures, preparing patients for examination, and assisting providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The information collected plays a critical role in supporting accurate diagnoses, treatment planning, and positive patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for their eye exams, ensuring comfort and clarity about procedures. Perform preliminary testing using specialized equipment (training provided). Record patient medical histories and update electronic health records accurately. Assist the clinical team with diagnostic imaging and other technical procedures. Educate patients on eye health, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment. Support inventory management and restocking of clinical supplies. Collaborate with doctors and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical setting. Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems. Previous experience in healthcare or clinical setting is strongly preferred. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position is based in a professional healthcare office and requires regular interaction with patients, physicians, and staff. Team members should be comfortable standing, walking, sitting, and using office and clinical equipment throughout the workday. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. Visual abilities, including close-up and distance vision, are necessary for performing job duties effectively.
