Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Memory Care Med Tech to provide high-quality care to residents in a 12 bed memory care facility. This full-time position operates from 7AM to 7PM and involves assisting individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings, and possess a strong understanding of medical documentation, patient care, and safety protocols. The Med Tech will work closely with nursing staff to ensure residents' health, safety, and comfort are maintained at all times. Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders and facility policies. Monitor and record vital signs, medication effects, and overall resident health status using EMR/EHR systems. Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Provide compassionate care tailored to individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other memory impairments. Document all care activities thoroughly in medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Recognize and respond promptly to changes in resident condition or behavior, escalating concerns to nursing staff as needed. Support residents during meals, tube feeding procedures, and other medical needs such as catheter care or medication administration. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety procedures. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, therapy, and social services to deliver comprehensive care. Skills Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices related to senior and memory care populations. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation purposes. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and understand medication administration protocols. Compassionate caregiving skills with a focus on working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and handle sensitive medical records responsibly. Flexibility to work full-time hours from 7AM to 7PM in a fast-paced environment that requires patience and professionalism.
