Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Med Tech / Caregiver, where your compassionate care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and patients. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, monitor health status, and support daily activities for individuals across assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care settings. Your dedication will help promote comfort, safety, and well-being while ensuring adherence to medical protocols and privacy standards. Responsibilities Assist residents and patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and nutrition support. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; document findings accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Administer medications and treatments following prescribed orders while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice, and other senior or memory-related conditions. Perform medical procedures including catheter care, tube feeding, wound care, and medication administration with precision and compassion. Maintain detailed medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure records are complete and up-to-date. Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care plans in various settings including assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home & community care environments. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures such as catheter care and vital signs monitoring. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with medical documentation standards including HIPAA compliance. Certification or training in caregiving skills such as medication administration or hospice care is advantageous. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to caregiving; ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Flexibility to work various shifts in fast-paced healthcare settings; willingness to uphold safety standards and maintain confidentiality at all times.
