Position Summary:

The Allied Health Educator / Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction within the Allied Health department. This position plays a vital role in ensuring student learning, academic progression, clinical readiness, and successful preparation for certification or licensure. The instructor is responsible for implementing the approved curriculum, facilitating student-centered learning, maintaining instructional quality, and supporting course outcomes aligned with program standards, institutional expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements. This role is expected to actively contribute to student retention, student success, course completion, and state examination readiness through consistent instruction, remediation, tutoring, academic support, and accountability. This position requires a faculty member who demonstrates professionalism, honesty, integrity, dependability, and accountability in all assigned responsibilities, including but not limited to instructional preparation, grading, student communication, office hours, tutoring support, and timely submission of academic documentation. The instructor is also responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in accordance with the standards set forth by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and Texas Workforce Commission Career Schools and Colleges (TWC-CSC).

Requirements:

Education:

Certificate or diploma as a Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant required . Associate degree in nursing, Nursing Education, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred .

License:

Active professional certifications related to the discipline (Certified Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician) required

CPR - BLS

Certification required .

Experience:

Minimum of four (4) years of clinical experience in healthcare or related field required. Minimum of one (1) year of nursing home / rehabilitation care experience preferred . Previous experience in nursing education, other related institutions, or healthcare training programs preferred .
