Assists the laboratory manager/director in the management of the assigned laboratory department(s) and its staff and day-to-day operations; this includes, but is not limited to, process improvement, Technical Procedure revision, staff scheduling, interview process, staff performance review, coaching, training, competency development and assessment; employee relation issues; department compliance; policy and regulatory compliance; and Quality Assurance/Improvement. Active California Clinical Laboratory license Five (5) years as clinical laboratory scientist (medical technologist) with good general knowledge of all laboratory sections, including one year of acute care hospital lab experience
